Principlev1
Implement structural interventions rather than relying on
Implement structural interventions rather than relying on awareness to mitigate team cognitive biases, because group-level biases operate below conscious deliberation and resist correction through individual effort.
Why This Is a Principle
This principle derives from Knowledge of cognitive biases does not reduce susceptibility (knowledge of biases doesn't reduce them) and Groups exhibit cognitive biases that are distinct from and (groups exhibit emergent biases). It prescribes structural change over education, recognizing that team biases require architectural interventions just as individual biases do. This is a critical design principle for bias-resistant team processes.
