Why This Is a Principle
This is a principle derived from Organizations become increasingly homogeneous through (ASA homogenization), When espoused values and basic underlying assumptions (espoused vs basic assumptions), and Belief Perseverance Against Contradictory Evidence (belief perseverance). It prescribes action (change environment) based on the axiom that organizations homogenize through attraction-selection-attrition and that chronic misalignment erodes values. It's general enough to apply across many contexts but specific enough to be actionable.
