Principlev1
When suffering resists meaning-making despite honest effort,
When suffering resists meaning-making despite honest effort, cease the search and adopt honest endurance rather than manufacturing redemptive narratives that sit atop unprocessed pain.
Why This Is a Principle
Grounded in Suffering is an irreducible feature of conscious existence, (suffering is irreducible in conscious existence) and Experiential avoidance (attempting to alter the form, (experiential avoidance is a transdiagnostic risk factor). The principle prescribes WHEN to stop meaning-making efforts (when meaning is genuinely unavailable) to prevent the secondary suffering that manufactured meaning creates.
