Principlev1
Schedule explicit negative audits asking 'what should have
Schedule explicit negative audits asking 'what should have triggered but didn't' rather than waiting for agents to fire — false negatives don't announce themselves.
Why This Is a Principle
This derives from Attention as Gate to Conscious Perception (inattentional blindness), Automatic Pattern Perception (automatic pattern generation with confirmation bias), and Bias Blind Spot Asymmetry (bias blind spot — failing to detect own cognitive biases). The principle prescribes scheduled audits because absence of signal generates no automatic alert — you must actively look for what didn't happen, which requires deliberate override of confirmation bias.
