Why This Is a Principle
Derives from Systematic Overconfidence Taxonomy (overconfidence in estimation) and Brain as Hierarchical Prediction Machine (prediction error propagation). The Shewhart principle prescribes data-driven thresholds. This bridges to L-0555 but the general principle applies to automated systems.
